"Triplets" - mixed media on canvas by Virgina Leonard, created as a gift for her artist sister, Rosa Buckley
Now showing in the main gallery is a diverse collection of painted, pastel and pencil sketch portaits and landscapes, clay sculptures and mixed media works created by local artist Virginia Leonard and her inspired friends and family. Despite the unique style of each artist (including her two sons, Joshua and TJ; and sister, Rosa) the works seem to demonstrate a common appreciation for organic shapes and forms, capturing the beauty of life. A private art teacher and commission artist, Virginia Leonard enjoys creating representational works in pastel and Prismacolor pencils most. Virgina is pictured below, beside the Golden Gate Bridge (acrylic on canvas) - one of her favorites in the show.
Come see the exhibit on display now through December 31 at the Guild, Thursday through Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm.
