We are pleased to share the Student Art Show currently on display in the main gallery featuring young artists throughout Walton County. The show will run from March 4 - April 30, 2009. Schools participating in the show include: Bay Creek ES, Blaine Street ES, Loganville ES, Monroe ES, Sharon ES, Walker Park ES, Walnut Grove ES, Youth ES, Loganville MS, Youth MS, Loganville HS, Monroe Area HS, Loganville Christian Academy, and George Walton Academy. There is a variety of exceptional artwork featured in 2D and 3D with examples of painting, jewelry, pottery, and more.

Please come and see the talents our students are sharing with us. Let them feel the value they play in our society. It is also important for us to support the hard work and dedication of Walton County’s Arts teachers. Their dedication to opening the eyes of young adults to the arts is a gift to our community.

In addition, Wild Child Arts of Monroe has donated two canvases to two art classes in Walton County. The paintings titled “Calm and Colorful” and “Melted Popsicle” are on display at Wild Child Arts, downtown Monroe. Tickets can be purchased at the Monroe Art Guild or Wild Child Arts through April 4th at 3:00pm. These paintings will be raffled off: $2.00 per ticket or three for $5.00. The proceeds will be split 50/50 between the charity choice of each classroom and the art programs of the two participating schools. Wild Child Arts will host a reception on April 4th from 2:00pm – 4:00pm. The winning ticket will be announced at 3:30pm. Please support the children and their commitment to the Arts, their community and their support of their school’s art program.
