About the Workshop Leader, Lee Nelson
Lee Nelson uses his banking and marketing experience in this interactive workshop to give artists the tools they need start and lead successful businesses. Lee's wife, Anne Jenkins, is a full time professional artist, owns two art galleries, and served as the judge for the Summer Monroe Art Guild Member show in July 2008. While the couple lived in New Orleans, Lee assisted his wife, Anne, when she exhibited at the city's two art markets and a gallery in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. Lee observed, "I noticed that although her colleagues produced great art, they were having some challenges making a living as artists and running their own businesses." This observation lead to the creation of the Entrepreneurial Artist Workshop.
