Thank you for joining us on Member Appreciation Day - a day to celebrate our members and fall festivities in conjunction with the Monroe Fall Festival held downtown on Saturday, October 13. We enjoyed a full day of visitors in the Gallery and on the grounds. 
Director, Sarah Howard, and board members Susan Pelham, Bobbie Austin and Stephanie Roberts entertained children with face painting and refreshments in the sculpture garden, while President Jack Yencha, Vice President Steve Brown and Treasurer Jane Pannell welcomed guests and new members in the MAG to experience the Georgia Gourd Society exhibit in the main gallery and view the paintings of Bill Barnes in the artist member gallery. Young artists expressed their creativity in chalk on pavement, while raku firing demonstrations turned seemingly dull clay pots into glossy, metallic works of art.
