Many thanks to our local artists for displaying your tree-themed artwork, to Susan Pelham for instructing children in the art of pinecone bird feeder construction, and to MAG volunteer face-painters, Sarah Howard, Jane Pannell and Stephanie Roberts, for sharing time and talent at the Arbor Day Celebration held on the grounds of the Monroe's Historic Courthouse. It was a beautiful day amid the trees, where we admired student artwork, learned about tree care from an experienced arborist, sipped on Starbucks coffee to the tunes of local musicians, and enjoyed a collection of educational exhibits. Congratulations to Crista Carrell for orchestrating such a wonderful event.
