May History Show / Summer Art Camp / Yard Sale

"A Glance at Historic Walton County- People & Places"
Celebrate Walton County's Treasures by visiting the show "A Glance at Historic Walton County- People & Places" going on now through May 30, 2011. The show is sponsored by Jeff & Helen Cohenour.

Also featured: Nita Bakay in the Members' Gallery and John Lucas' 8th Grade History Class from GWA with 3-D models of Historic Sites in the Special Events Gallery. The show is free to attend so bring a friend!

Summer Art Camp
Create, explore, express and develop artistically and intellectually this summer at Art Camp 2011. This summer students will learn and experiment with both 2D and 3D media in the area of “Eco-Art.” Classes will be taught by experienced art educators and local artists. Class size is limited; be sure to register early!

Session I: June 13 - 17 for ages 13 - 15 (1 - 4pm) (10 – 26 students)
Session II: June 20 - 24 for ages 9 - 12 (9am - 12pm) (10 – 26 students)
Session III: July 11 - 15 for ages 5 – 8 (9am - 12pm) (10 – 20 students)

Yard Sale
Cleaning up around the house? Well if you have items to donate, you can drop off books, art, collectibles, furniture, and other similar items now through noon on Friday, June 3. The MAG YARD SALE will be on Saturday, June 4 from 8:30am - 2:00pm. We will be selling hot dogs, chips, sodas, waters, and cakes. Come on out and visit us in the Sculpture Garden; bring a friend and enjoy the downtown!
